  29.     Well, admittedly I haven't really been paying attention, but I do think
  30.     you've got this all wrong. The motive, I think, is not so much a noble 
  31.     protection of the trodden-upon as a selfish interest in not having every 
  32.     new, interesting, reasonably-clever poster sent scrambling off into 
  33.     oblivion after being scared (or pissed) off by, for instance, one of 
  34.     Tom's lapses into the literary equivalent of Torret's syndrome. (sp?)
