- Well, admittedly I haven't really been paying attention, but I do think
- you've got this all wrong. The motive, I think, is not so much a noble
- protection of the trodden-upon as a selfish interest in not having every
- new, interesting, reasonably-clever poster sent scrambling off into
- oblivion after being scared (or pissed) off by, for instance, one of
- Tom's lapses into the literary equivalent of Torret's syndrome. (sp?)
