- John Hatt, in his book The Tropical Traveller, says that he met a man
- in Africa who was known, quite seriously, as "The Man Whose Grandfather
- Farted." Apparently this ancestor had passed wind at a particularly
- inopportune moment and the family never lived it down.
-
- Book content: The Tropical Traveller is an excellent and
- entertaining book, recommended especially for independent-minded
- travellers. It contains much good advice for travelling adventurously
- in third world and other countries.
