- Anime America is coming to the Westin Hotel/Santa
- Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA from June 25-27,
- 1993. This not-to-be-missed event for all fans of anime and
- manga will feature a large dealers' room, a 16mm and 35mm
- film room, three 24-hour anime video channels, artists'
- autographs, artists' panels and much, much more!

- Dealers' Room

- Anime America will feature a 9900 sq. ft. dealers' room
- devoted primarily to anime and manga. Tables are $120 apiece
- and come with 2 memberships each. Limit of 5 tables per
- dealer.

- AnAmTV
-
- AnAmTV will feature three 24-hour anime TV channels. Tracks 1
- and 2 will feature all of your favorite anime, movies, OAV's
- and TV shows. In addition to anime, Track 3 will periodically
- provide con scheduling information and broadcasts of panels
- and special events. We are hiring a technician from the
- video company that installed this brand new system, so
- we will have a crystal clear signal throughout the hotel.
- We have received permission from USMC, U.S. Renditions and
- Streamline to air their videos on the closed circuit system,
- but we encourage you to go down to the video theaters to
- to take advantage of the big screens and surround sound. We
- will be publishing a full schedule of our video program as we
- assemble it. Comments and requests are most welcome. Please
- note that copying of video from the closed circuit system
- will not be permitted. Disconnecting the cable from the
- television set causes the central computer to stop cable
- service to the affected room.

- Film Track

- Anime America will feature a 16mm and 35mm film room. For
- anime on the big screen in an air conditioned, acoustically
- designed theater, this is the place to be! We have been given
- access to Tezuka Productions and Streamline's entire film
- libraries and have a special series of three 3-D anime shorts
- from ACC Production. The 3-D films will be premiered for the
- first time in the United States at Anime America! Technical
- details on this new technology will follow in a separate
- news release.

- Art Show

- A 4 ft by 4 ft half panel is $12.50. More than 6 half
- panels, please send inquiries to the Art Show Coordinator.
- Table space is 4 ft by 16 in.; panel rate is $10.00. For

- Doujinshi exhibit and sale:
-
- Members of Japan's largest fan publishing convention,
- Comic Market, will provide quantities of some of the most
- sought after fan publications available. Were you
- to attend Comic Market you might have to wait in
- line for hours to have the opportunity to buy just one of
- these books. Comic Market will man a table in the dealers
- room and will have an ample supply of doujinshi for sale,
- having solicited from all the top doujinshi circles in Japan.
- Additionally, Comic Market staff will be available to discuss
- convention registration with interested American would-be
- publishers. They will have English versions of rules and
- registration forms.

- Cel painting workshop:
-
- Anime America will host four cell painting workshops.
- Experienced fan cel painters, whom you've seen in the artists
- ghetto in previous Cons, will instruct interested attendees
- in cel painting technique. Materials will be provided by
- Anime America with a minimal workshop fee.

- Urusei Yatsura/Maison Ikkoku Cel Auction:
-
- A long-time fan of Kitty Animation, Kasumi Sawatari,
- will be auctioning off his Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku
- cel collections through arrangements with Anime America.
- Members of Anime America staff viewed the collection in Tokyo
- on December 28th. The collection consists of 56 cels, including two rare Lum
- closeups, closeups of Ran and Ben-ten,
- a close up of Kyoko from Maison Ikkoku and an impossible-to-
- find harem scene from one of Moroboshi Ataru's dreams!

- Devilman Cel Auction:
-
- Go Nagai, creator of Devilman, Mazinger Z and Cutey
- Honey, could not attend Anime America this year but instead
- donated 16 rare cels from Devilman 2. The cels include two
- setups with backgrounds! There are two shots of Shirane
- getting one of her wings blown off and three close shots
- of Devilman. Don't miss this auction as these cels came
- straight from Dynamic Productions' archives.
