- Here's a few reasons why, or most likely, why garage kits cost more
- than US kits.

- Primarily economy of scale. Revell probably cranks out thousands of
- kits compared to the few hundred (if that) garage kit.

- The majors (how about that term?) use molded styrene kits where
- garage kits use solid resin or soft vinyl.

- Actually, if you campare the price of say, a Lum kit compared to a
- RX-78 Gundam kit you'll see what I mean. Gundam kits are pretty
- cheap- under $10. Lum on the other hand tends to go for around
- $100.

- I was fortunate to get a Ran soft vinyl kit on clearance for $25 a
- few years ago. Well, that was more than a few years ago...
