- ]If i buy it unseen, am i wasting my money? EE Doc Smith writes pretty
- ]simplistic space opera (yes, i read the whole series a couple of times
- ]when i was younger and even dumber than i am now) so if this is
- ]animation in the style of Captain Harlock i'll probably be
- ]disappointed. The animation doesn't always have to have lots of
- ]motion - the good background art and stories in Sazan Eyes and
- ]Kyuuketsuki Miyu pull them through even when as straight animation
- ]they seem somewhat static.

- Gee... It's hard to describe. When I saw it, I liked it. The story is the
- standard space opera for the most part, but what set it apart (at the time) is
- that they used some computer animation [at least in the movie] along with the
- standard cel animation. It's hard to say... you can't really argue taste. At
- least I can tell you it is not as "heavy handed" as Captain Harlock.
