  42. Unfortunately, I don't think it works like that.  I've read here in
  43. news.groups many times that the *only* way to fix a munged moderatorship
  44. is to rmgroup the group *entirely* and start it over as a new group with a
  45. new moderator or without a moderator at all.  Any other discussion, offers
  46. to moderate, etc. etc. ignores the way news software works at many sites.
