  29. Again, I think people should stop tarring the right wing with the brush of
  30. "retrogressive" or "larouche".  I consider myself moderate to liberal but
  31. find it surprising that people who apparently are my ideological peers
  32. somehow don't feel that the people on the other side of center have a
  33. right to their views.  Remember the old "I disagree with what you say, but
  34. will defend to the death your right to say it" line?  It applies here.

  36. Given that the Republican party and right-wing organizations such as the
  37. NRA aren't suffering for membership, I think a USENET group called
  38. talk.politics.usa.conservative would be read and used by a lot of people. 
  39. Stop insulting the intelligence of the readers of news.groups by saying
  40. that this group deserves only a name like talk.politics.reactionary or
  41. misc.activism.retrogressive.
