  44. AIM AND SCOPE:
  45.  
  46. The overall goal of the Conference is the gather people from Western and
  47. Eastern countries, from industry and universities, to promote contacts
  48. between specialists from different organizations with different profiles,
  49. to set up links between different  fields of informatics.
  50. TOPICS:

  52. Traditionally the programme of the conference focusses on three main topics
  53. but generally is not limited to them. For this year, the following topics
  54. are emphasized:

  56. A) Information systems and telecommunications in business and public
  57. administration
  58.     - methods and systems
  59.     - legal aspects
  60.     - organizational, social and ethical impacts
  61.     - education
  62.     - standards
  63.     - information management
  64.  
  65. B) Hypertext and multimedia systems
  66.     - models and methods
  67.     - cognitive aspects
  68.     - personal computing
  69.     - cooperative work
  70.     - software
  71.     - object-oriented environment
  72.     - application in training and documentation
  73.  
  74. C) Graphical methods for scientific and technical computing
  75.     - computer geometry
  76.     - scientific visualization
  77.     - CAD, robotics, and VLSI
  78.  
  79. The programme will consist of lectures of 90 minutes duration, short papers
  80. of 30 minutes duration, discussions, poster session and demonstrations. The
  81. texts of the lectures and the short papers will be published in the
  82. proceedings of the conference.
  83.  
  84. CALL FOR PAPERS:
  85.  
  86. Those with appropriate scientific and technical experience are invited to
  87. submit papers to the conference. The text (in English) up to 8 pages
  88. should include the title, author's names and correspondence addresses, a
  89. brief abstract, an exposition where the essence and the specific results
  90. are given, and a bibliography. Type the manuscript on white A4 paper, keeping
  91. the text within a frame of 240 mm long and 170 mm wide. Use 1 1/2 spacing.
  92. Avoid using dot-matrix printers in draft mode. The papers in camera-ready
  93. form must be received at the contact address in triplicate not later than
  94. January 30, 1993. The papers will be reviewed by at least two members of
  95. the International Programme Committee and those accepted will be published
  96. in the proceedings. Accepted papers will be included into the programme of
  97. the conference either for oral presentation or for a poster session.
