  16.           ACMBUL's 1st INTERNATIONAL COMPUTER VIRUS PROBLEMS AND
  17.                           ALTERNATIVES CONFERENCE

  21. The purpose of the 1993 International Computer Virus Conference is to
  22. provide a forum for anti-virus product developers, researchers and
  23. academicians to exchange information among themselves, the students,
  24. the public and the industry. ICVC'93 will consist of open forums,
  25. distinguished keynote speakers, and the presentation of high-quality
  26. accepted papers. A high degree of interaction and discussion among
  27. Conference participants is expected, as a workshop-like setting is
  28. promoted.

  30. Because ICVC'93 is a not-for-profit activity funded primarily by
  31. registration fees, all participants are expected to have their
  32. organizations bear the costs of their expenses and registration.
  33. Accommodations will be available at reduced rates for conference
  34. participants.

  36. WHO SHOULD ATTEND

  38. The conference is intended for computer security researchers, managers,
  39. advisors, EDP auditors, network administrators, and help desk personnel
  40. from government and industry, as well as other information technology
  41. professionals interested in computer security.

  44. CONFERENCE THEME
  45.  
  46. This Conference, devoted to advances in virus prevention, will encompass
  47. developments in both theory and practice.  Papers are invited in the areas
  48. shown and may be theoretical, conceptual, tutorial or descriptive in
  49. nature.  Submitted papers will be refereed, and those presented at the
  50. Conference will be included in the proceedings.

  67. THE REFEREEING PROCESS
  68.  
  69. All papers and panel proposals received by the submission deadline and
  70. which meet submission requirements will be considered for presentation
  71. at the Conference.

  73. All papers presented at ICVC'93 will be included in the Conference
  74. proceedings, copies of which will be provided to Conference attendees.
  75. All papers presented, will also be included in proceedings to be published
  76. by the ACMBUL.

  79. INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

  81.         [1] Two (2) copies of the full paper, consisting of up-to 20
  82.       double-spaced, typewritten quality pages, including diagrams, must
  83.       be received no later than 28 February 1993.

  85.         [2] The language of the Conference is English.
  86.  
  87.         [3] The first page of the manuscript should include the title of
  88.       the paper, full name of all authors, their complete addresses
  89.       including affiliation, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses,
  90.       as well as an abstract of the paper.

  92.         [4] Authors willing to submit their manuscripts electronically
