  13.                    PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT
  14.                      AND CALL FOR PAPERS
  15.  
  16.      The International Workshop   "Free  Software Development,
  17. and Use" organized by the  Society  of Unix User Groups (SUUG)
  18. jointly with the Russian Center  of  System  Programming  (the
  19. chapter of the Free Software Foundation) and the International
  20. Center of Scientifical and Technical Information will be  held
  21. in Moscow  from  April 19 till April 23 1993.   There is to be
  22. participation of specialists from North  America,  Europe  and
  23. Japan.
  24.      The main proposed topics of the Workshop are:
  25.      The current  state  of the GNU project and other projects
  26. close to FSF;
  27.      Free software portability in Open System environments;
  28.      Experiences using free software;
  29.      Using free  software  for  education  and  free  software
  30. training;
  31.      Legal aspects of free software.
  32.      The set  of  topics  may  me  extended   according   with
  33. additional proposals.
  34.      Concurrently with  the workshop,  a  small  exibition  is
  35. planned to  demonstrate  the using of various free software on
  36. different  computers  connected  by  LAN.   Orgers   for   the
  37. demonstation  of original free designs are accepted.  Also the
  38. participation of computer and software companies is supposed.
  39.      There are several alternatives for the precise  place  of
  40. the Workshop, the final decision will be made later.
