  33. Position: Sr. Software Engineer (2)

  35. Requirement - Position 1

  38. Software Engineer (with minimum 4 years of experience) with strong
  39. background in C and UNIX.  Strong relational database experience is also a
  40. must.  Working knowledge of Informix programming tools (ESQL/C, 4GL) and/or
  41. IBM DB2 is desired.  The candidate must show good understanding of relational
  42. database technology, the method in which database information is retrieved,
  43. manipulated and stored.  The candidate also must show proficiency in various
  44. UNIX programming techniques such as process management, parser programming,
  45. etc.

  50. In the project, the programmer will design and develop with other team
  51. members the gateway to interface Informix database products with other
  52. database vendors' DRDA-compliant database products (which currently
  53. include IBM's DB2 and SQL/400).  The responsibilities include, but are not
  54. limited to, designing and programming the high-level communication
  55. messaging system, SQL parser, transaction manager, and the cursor
  56. management system within the gateway.

  61. Education:    BCS or equiv.

  63. Experience:    5 Years of program development in C for PC evironment,
  64.         Minimum of 2 years of Windows 3.x development.

  66. Qualification:    Good working knowledge of Windows 3.x SDK; DLL and memory 
  67.         management. C expert. Some knowledge of Windows Virtual Device
  68.         Driver is a plus.

  79. Qualifications:    4-6 years experience in DOS/Windows, C/C++, SQL, LAN.

  84.         Advanced MS-DOS batch file programming. 2 - 3 years in

  86.         programming.  Informix RDBMS is a plus but not required. 1 - 2

  121. The qualified candidate will research and write documentation for the Informix
  122. ODBC interface. The position requires a BA/BS in Computer Science or English
  123. or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years' software technical writing experience.
  124. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and a high level programming language are
  125. required ("C" preferred). Knowledge of DBMS and SQL highly desirable.
