  17.     required for half-time post at Child Guidance Clinic

  19. The post will involve:
  20. * clinical work with children and families
  21. * consultation and training in service organisations and
  22.   community settings
  23. * assisting with the development of the Clinic's outreach
  24.   programmes
  25. * assisting with professional clinical training
  26.  
  27. The post requires interest in exploring alternative
  28. approaches to mental health service delivery, initiative and
  29. a commitment to collaborative work.
  30.  
  31. Proficiency in one local language (English, Afrikaans,
  32. Xhosa) and a good working knowledge of another is required.
  33. Applicants should have a valid driver's licence and,
  34. preferably, access to their own transport.

  36. The appointment is for a contracted 2-year period, with
  37. possible extension, dependent on funding. There will be an
  38. initial probationary period of 6 months. The starting date
  39. is 1 April 1993 (or earlier, if possible).
