  14. 'Where is the scientific proof!?`

  16. With both traditional Eastern Medicine and Homeopathy (at least based on
  17. my limited knowledge of either) there is no claimed relationship between
  18. the disease itself and the medicine, herb or treatment. Rather the 
  19. treatment works to bring the body back into balance allowing it to correct
  20. the dis-ease naturally.

  22. Because there is an unclear relationship between the actual bacteria, virus,
  23. or whatever, and the medicine or treatment, there can never be the kind of
  24. 'proof' that some of you are demanding (or at least I am led to believe
  25. based on my begining knowledge of such things).

  27. Hell, you're all right, my asthma could have mysteriously disappeared all
  28. by itself. In a court of law, I wouldn't have a chance in hell of proving
  29. my case.

  31. Who cares? I had nothing to lose, everything to gain and I recieved what
  32. is clear to me to be positive results from an alternative treatment. Do I 
  33. advocate every asthmatic stopping their medication and using homeopathy? NO!
  34. My ND didn't suggest I stop using my inhaler. That would be foolish.

  36. You'll never get the kind of scientific proof that comes from 'modern research',
  37. there will always be someway for the skeptical to poke holes in any study, at
  38. least I imagine this is so.

  40. Based on the history I've read regarding homeopathic medicine, the principles,
  41. and my own experience, I will continue to experiment for myself. After all,
  42. what could be more scientific than experimenting?

  44. Then again, this is all easy for me, I'm employed and well insured. I have
  45. choices. Many others don't
