  12. I read the charter for this group just now and noticed that midwifery
  13. was included in the suggested subject matter.
  14.  
  15. As a future midwife (I'm a pre-nursing student now), I am curious to
  16. know what the general opinion regarding lay midwives and certified
  17. nurse midwives is.  I plan to get a master's degree in midwifery and
  18. a bachelor's in nursing, and hopefully, another bachelors in sociology
  19. with a minor in psychology.

  21. I had asked for references to books, and have received a few.  If I
  22. don't respond to the individual recommendations, thank you in advance.
  23. I get over 500 messages a day when school is in session, and do not
  24. always have time to do more than skim the mail, making sure I save the
  25. important styuff.  It doesn't leave much time for replying. <G>
