  22. Clinical Ecologists (of which there are not many) deal with sensitivities
  23. to chemical and biological agents in a somewhat unconventional manner
  24. (i.e., their methods are not held in high esteem by "conventional"
  25. allergists).

  27. Little research has been done, from what I can tell due to the fact that
  28. they are not offcially recogized by the Medical Establishment (i.e.,
  29. the AMA).

  31. I know several dozen people (including my wife) with severe chemical 
  32. sensitivities known as Environmental Illness or MCS (Multiple Chemical 
  33. Sensitivity Syndrome) who are seeing Clinical Ecologists.  There is,
  34. however, quite a range in the degree of help these patients have received
  35. for their symptoms.

  37. Clinical Ecologists (the ones I am familiar with) tend to be M.D.'s who
  38. have gone off the beaten trail to help their patients when conventional
  39. allergy treatments have simply failed.
  40.   
  41. If you have sensitivities to a range of substances, or suspect you do,
  42. a Clinical Ecologist is a wise option, in my opinion.
