  25. alternative therapies.  If you've got specific information that a therapy
  26. is proven not to work, or is dangerous, *please*, tell us.  We'd love to
  27. hear it.

  29. Likewise, we love to hear what has worked for people.  Sometimes it will be
  30. anecdotal; sometimes it will be double-blind research results.  It's up to
  31. the reader to judge the merit of the information based on its context.

  37. I daresay naifs who read Usenet and take it as gospel are in for a heap of
  38. trouble, and not just from misc.health.alternative.

  40. I've tried to prevent the perception that anything here *is* gospel.
  41. The group is named "misc.health.alternative", not "sci.med"; half the
  42. introductory posting is disclaimers.  The FAQs will be loaded with
  43. information about health care consumerism.
