Hello Taipei. Greetings from the Tahoma School District located in Maple Valley, Washington (the Washington w/o the "D.C."). As a member of PDK, I welcome the Taipei Chapter to the world of telecommunications. In Tahoma, we are in the beginning stages of learning to use K-12 Net for both our students and their teachers. At this time, a grade 2/3 teacher is exploring the various chat areas seeking projects for her students. She intends to make contact with schools from Australia and New Zealand to purs
ue projects that will compliment a unit that her students will be working on in February. They want to exchange information about the similiarities & differences concerning climate, customs, interests, animals, etc... A sixth grade teacher from another school will be on-line in January. She is interested in providing her students an international audience for writing purposes. Hope you all enjoy your experience with global communication.
