  11. Hello, the FAQ explains a way to detect when a mwm window is closed from
  12. the pulldown menu in its upper left corner.  This works fine on the RS/6000,
  13. running AIX 3.2 (motif 1.1).

  15. However, this no longer works properly on a DEC 3000 (I believe it runs
  16. Motif 1.2).  What happens is that when I close one of my windows, the
  17. entire application immediately exits, and none of my routines get called
  18. to handle the closing of a window.  This also happens if I remove the code
  19. to detect window closings.  In fact, it happens in any and every
  20. application I compile on the computer.  Whether the window is a dialog box
  21. or a shell widget, closing any window kills the entire application.

  23. Does anyone know what the deal is here?  Is it even a Motif issue or did
  24. DEC do something odd with their window manager?
