  17. I do this by using the PBMPLUS suite of conversion utilities to convert
  18. the GIF to Sun raster format, then use the Ileaf utilities to convert
  19. Sun raster to Ileaf.  This is with Ileaf 4.3 running on Suns.  I'd
  20. recommend a similar method for whatever platform you're on.  PBMPLUS has
  21. been ported to many machines (Unix machines, MS-DOS, etc.), so use that
  22. to get the GIF into something Ileaf can convert, like TIFF or (in my
  23. case) Sun raster.
