- If I had to guess I would say your problem is not allocating enough
- memory to your application (click on icon, then get information).
- Unlike sys 6, sys 7 will not automatically expand your application
- to use all the memory available. Another common problem is a crash
- when trying to save to disk. If your application says it needs 300K
- to run, it means just that. Printing and saving to disk require
- more space (most of the time).
-
- The only other possible thing I have noticed is that sometimes I
- get a similar message from our Laserwriter IIg which is hooked
- up to our Ethernet. If the printer is left on for a long time without
- being used, it seems to need to reset itself before printing. The
- message we get is that there is not enough memory in the printer
- to handle the document. This is not the real problem when printing
- a half page of text on a 5 meg printer. I usually have to reset it
- from software or go upstairs and turn it off. Any comments on this
- would be welcome.
