  36. You have blown the fuse for the battery!  Yes, I know. . . I didn't
  37. beleive it when I did it either.  Look at the very tip of your Power
  38. Adapter plug.  See the tiny black plastic ring of insulation between
  39. the pos and neg poles?  Cracked off at least partly isn't it?  Apple
  40. acknowledges that this occurs and that it causes a short if you insert
  41. the damaged adapter plug just right (or wrongly if you think about it!).

  43. The solution is to call 1-800-SOS-APPL and they will confirm that they
  44. will replace the adaptor and the fuse under warranty.  The new adaptors
  45. have a fix for this.
