- 1) The battery _is_ covered under warranty. We've seen a (small) number
- of bad ones that, after a few months, will no longer take a charge.
- Your local authorized service center should be able to test and give you
- a replacement -- they may need to see your PB at the same time.
-
- 2) It is also possible that you have a logic board failure; in some
- small number of cases, you can run the PB 170 off the AC power adapter,
- but NOT off a battery. Best way to check is to find another battery
- (one which you know to be good). Unfortunately, if it _is_ the logic
- board, you'll need a new one (get it while your warranty is in effect!!)
- and I _believe_ Apple is currently backordered on them.
-
- I'm not a service tech, so I'm not good for many more details -- but
- this is what I recall hearing from our techs.
