- Thanks for all the info about the 16-bit data path etc. Nobody answered my
- question about the FPU slot, though..
-
- Is the FPU slot in the Classic II designed ONLY for a FPU, or is it really
- a strange sort of PDS slot? Why haven't people made other boards to go into
- this slot?
-
- I'm asking because at the time I bought this computer, it was _all_ I
- could afford. I HAD to have a Mac before I returned to college. I'd
- really like something faster / a larger screen. Unfortunately as a
- somewhat poor college student I can't afford these things.. I understand
- that the Classic II has Color QD built-in so it can drive a color monitor;
- but I would need a SCSI monitor driver right?
-
- Any ideas on making the internal screen a grayscale by switching parts
- on the analog/PS board???
-
- Thanks,
- Jim
