  29. The question isn't just about resolution, but about resolution combined with
  30. vertical frequency. For example, I am using an Apple 16" monitor in a standard
  31. fashion (i.e. an 832x624 resolution and 72Hz vertical).

  33. Compare this with my oldish (1991 vintage) Sony 1304HG monitor. Its specs say
  34. up to 1024x768, and also 50-87 Hz vertical (quite a bit less than your
  35. Sony 1304S!), but I know it can't even do 70Hz at 1024x768 (just 60Hz).
  36. There is a chance that it can do 75Hz at 832x624, since 60*768/624 = 74,
  37. but I'd want to try before I bought.
