  14. How much electricity does a computer take up? It's a motor, that's 
  15. basically it! Turn off the monitor and devices, and you're basically
  16. running a light bulb! I think it's worth it. I've had a few hard 
  17. drives die on me after being turned on and off more than once a day.
  18. I guess it depends on your use and what you value most - data or
  19. electricity.
