- How much electricity does a computer take up? It's a motor, that's
- basically it! Turn off the monitor and devices, and you're basically
- running a light bulb! I think it's worth it. I've had a few hard
- drives die on me after being turned on and off more than once a day.
- I guess it depends on your use and what you value most - data or
- electricity.
