  30. We have two different SyQuest based mechanisms hooked up to a Q900 and
  31. have never had the problem you describe.

  33. I know that I did have problems with a MicroNet SyQuest when it was hooked
  34. to a IIcx - but they disappeared when I used FWB HD Toolkit to reformat
  35. the disks and used HDT Extension (the system extention that will mount a
  36. SyQuest cart when inserted).

  38. I use the HDT Extension if I know I'm going to be using a lot of carts, so
  39. I won't have to bother with Command + spacebar to mount the disks with
  40. SCSI Probe.

  42. The above doesn't seem to help, but I'd say take out the MicroNet INIT and
  43. try using either SCSI Probe or the FKey - Mount 'Em and see if the problem
  44. persists. With SCSI Probe there is an option to flush the driver when a
  45. disk is ejected, so it's the better choice if you have carts formatted
  46. with either different versions of the same formatting software or carts
  47. formatted with different formatting software...
