  13. I am posting this in the Mac group as well as the PC groups since
  14. the Microtek scanners are (I believe) platform-independent. Also, I'll
  15. hopefully get more responses this way...

  17. Does anyone have any information about Microtek's new Scanmaker II and
  18. IIXE 24-bit flatbed scanners and how they differ from the recently
  19. discontinued Scanmaker 600Z? What are the differences between the II and
  20. the IIXE? (There have been many articles about color scanners in the
  21. various computer mags lately, covering the 600Z; however, the II and IIXE
  22. seem to have been released very recently - early December - and they're
  23. much cheaper).

  25. How is the customized PhotoStyler software for the above, and how does
  26. it compare to the real Aldus PhotoStyler? Is OCR software bundled with the
  27. scanners?
