- I am getting a IIci with 5MB. I assumed there would be two banks of
- memory, one with 4x256K and one with 4x1M. It was my intention to remove
- the four 256K SIMMs and replace them with four 4MB SIMMs, giving me 20MB.
- I don't have any technical info on memory configurations in the IIci, but
- according to one of the detailed ads for a RAM chip company in the back of
- MacWeek, this isn't allowed. :^(
-
- Could some kind soul who knows please post the memory configuration
- options for the IIci. Is 20MB an allowed configuration? (BTW, I am
- planning to use the Radius VideoVision card as my display card, so I don't
- have to worry about memory contention by the built-in display controller,
- right?)
