- I was just getting ready to order a Stylewriter to go with my PB160.
- But my source of Apple hardware (I go through my company's channels
- to get a good discount) is out of Stylewriters and doubt they will get
- any more of the current models in stock in anticipation of the new
- products coming early next year.
-
- They suggested I could get the HP Deskwriter instead; better performance
- for $60 more. In my case I don't *need* the better performance but its
- OK; but what's also important to me is the machine "footprint". (How
- much space it occupies on the shelf or desk top.) I live in Japan and
- houses are smaller . . . :(
-
- QUESTIONS:
-
- 1) How do the Stylewriter and DeskWriter footprints compare? My under-
- standing is that the Deskwriter is bigger but how much bigger?
-
- 2) Are any of you familiar with a new printer Apple is coming out with
- next year to replace the Stylewriter? How will it compare in price,
- performance, and footprint?
-
- 3) Any additional comments on the relative merits/demerits of these
- printers?
-
- Replies by either POST or EMAIL are OK. Thanks and have a
-
- MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
