- I have been using the ARA setup for the Intel 14.4EX modem that was put
- up on sumex about October 5 to use ARA between two Intel modems. The
- setup seems to work fine to do the connection. And seems to work fine
- while connected. The problem that I have is when I try to disconnect.
- The modem lights go out after a few seconds, but the Remote Access Setup
- dialog box never really returns, and ARA is locked up until I reboot.
- This is what happens on my machine at home. The connection with my machine
- at work is now messed up, and I can no longer connect. Upon returning
- to work, I find that the connection on that end has not disconnected. ARA
- still thinks that it is running, and I cannot get the modems or ARA to work
- right until I reboot the machine.
-
- Has anyone else had this problem?? I tried calling Intel, but they told
- me the same thing as they told the person who set up these files - they
- don't support ARA. Has anyone found a solution to the problem?? I intend
- to order the ARA developer's kit, but not until the new funding cycle starts
- next year.
-
- Thanks much.
