- Hi all, I'm a longtime PC user who has decided to take the Mac plunge.
-
- I won't be getting my Mac until next month, but I'm trying to educate
- myself until then. I have seen in this group several mentions of
- MacTCP, and it sounds intriguing. I need to know:
-
- is it shareware, and where can I download it, or
-
- is it commercial, and where can I order it, and for how much.
-
- I am assuming that this package will allow me to connect to the Internet
- from an ordinary serial phone line, and that I can get things such as
- finger and ftp working with it.
-
- Also, though I'm sure this is a FAQ, what is the "BEST" comm program to
- use for routine remote logins? Preferably one with enough features to
- satisfy most users without being too complex. zmodem would be nice, but
- I'm not even sure if my host supports it. I am interested in shareware
- as well as commercial applications.
-
-
- Thanks!
