  12. OK, I must be doing something trivially wrong.  I have a frequent need
  13. to download postscript files and print them locally on my
  14. MacIIvx/Everex LaserScript setup.  The LaserWriter utility works fine,
  15. except that it is a foreground application.  Is there anything
  16. available that will spool postscript files and print them in the
  17. background?  I grabbed DTPrinter in the hopes that it would do the
  18. job, but it appears to be too smart -- it appears to print things
  19. using the original application (if there is one) -- I can't make it
  20. print a postscript as anything other than the raw ascii text.  (As an
  21. experiment I tried saving output as a postscript file from Clarisworks
  22. -- DTPrinter choked on the resulting file [can't open Desktop
  23. Database, Can't find application] -- but the LaserWriter Utility
  24. handled it just fine.)
