- OK, I must be doing something trivially wrong. I have a frequent need
- to download postscript files and print them locally on my
- MacIIvx/Everex LaserScript setup. The LaserWriter utility works fine,
- except that it is a foreground application. Is there anything
- available that will spool postscript files and print them in the
- background? I grabbed DTPrinter in the hopes that it would do the
- job, but it appears to be too smart -- it appears to print things
- using the original application (if there is one) -- I can't make it
- print a postscript as anything other than the raw ascii text. (As an
- experiment I tried saving output as a postscript file from Clarisworks
- -- DTPrinter choked on the resulting file [can't open Desktop
- Database, Can't find application] -- but the LaserWriter Utility
- handled it just fine.)
