- A couple of years ago my department bought 7 or 8 copies of a program called MacSPICE
- from a company called Deustche Research. These were to be used in an undergraduate
- lab. Time passed and it came time to re-format the hard drives in the lab. Now
- however the MacSPICE can't be reinstalled... even with a virgin install disk it
- complains that it requires the master disk (remember it _used_ to work)
-
- I've gotten it installed on our one removable hard drive by using an old IIx which I
- didn't reformat. This isn't much help. We have approximately 15 students in the lab
- at any given time.
-
- I've contacted the company and the only solution they would offer is to sell us a new
- version of the software at full cost that uses a dongle.
-
- Does anyone know of a solution for this problem? We are trying are hardest not to
- ever deal with Deustche again for obvious reasons. They do however seem to have a
- better interface than PSPICE IMHO.
