- The world paused when macarthu@ee.ualberta.ca (Thomas MacArthur) said:

-
- A couple things come immediately to mind:
-
- 1) Please remember to hit return at the end of a line while typing in a
- *NIX environment. Unlike oue Macs most *NIX text-processors do not
- automatically wrap a line.
-
- 2) You could try selecting your HD and giving it a "big" label (from the
- Label menu in Finder). This >should< tell Spacesaver to uncompress
- everything on the drive and to not recompress it.
-
- 3) If you have MagicMenu: Select your HD and select Magic->Expand. (You may
- want to hold down the Option-key when doing this. This will bring up a
- "One-Time-Only" prefferences box for Magic Menu. Make sure that
- "Spacesaver Files" is selected.)
-
- No matter how you extract the drive anke sure that you remove Spacesaver
- immediately (otherwise you'll get the same bloody problem).
-
- Good luck.
