- I ran into exactly the same problem a while back with a different program. I
- ended up giving up on the whole thing, but later, when rummaging around the
- various PD and shareware Adlib software out there, I came across a program that
- came with a copy of SOUND.COM. DPDEMO.ZIP, available at:
-
- van-bc.wimsey.bc.ca /pub/sndfiles/misc/dpdemo.zip
- liasun3.epfl.ch /users/choueiry/bin/IBM/dpdemo.zip
- nz20.rz.uni-karlsruhe.de /pub/msdos/music/adlib/dpdemo.zip
- ccb.ucsf.edu /Pub/Sound_list/Blast/dpdemo.zip
-
- I plugged this in, and it worked fine with my program. It's unlikely, for a
- game, but you may also need an Adlib tone bank. I found one in MUSICIAN.ZOO:
-
- plaza.aarnet.edu.au /micros/pc/garbo/pc/sb/musician.zoo
- ic16.ee.umanitoba.ca /pub/msdos/soundblaster/musician.zoo
- athene.uni-paderborn.de /pcsoft/msdos/sound/musician.zoo
- snake.mcs.kent.edu /pub/SB-Adlib/players/musician.zip
- wuarchive.wustl.edu /mirrors4/garbo.uwasa.fi/sb/musician.zoo
-
- (rename INSTRUM.BNK to STANDARD.BNK). I'm not entirely sure that this is the
- same as the STANDARD.BNK that comes with the Adlib card, but it's close enough
- that everything I've tried with it sounds right.
