- I just got myself a Soundblaster Pro today, and it doesn't work with
- my Packard Bell Legend 386X 16 Mhz system. I run the TEST-SBP program
- on the SBPro disk. It tells me 'Hardware card cannot be detected', so
- I look in the Getting Started book, it tells me to change the I/O
- address, so I do that, 220 to 240hex. I get the same message as
- before. The only adaptors I have are my Video adapter and serial
- card. I took the serial card out, but that didn't change anything,
- and I can't do anything about the Video card since my system won't
- work without it. I tried changing IRQs but it didn't do anything
- either. I've also tried an Adlib, Thunderboard, and Soundblaster, but
- didn't work either. So I know it isn't the card that doesn't work.
- I REALLY want to get this to work, this is my last hope, besides
- getting a new computer which is something I can't do. If anyone can
- help me, it would be easier for me if you could email me instead of
- replying here. Thanks in advance
