  14. A THING WITH 18 PORTS IN THE BACK OF IT !!

  16. I have a very odd machine indeed.... any ideas what it is & what it can do ?
  17. Rough description :
  18. Appears to be 'Genroco GE1121' but has 'BusinessTelecommunicationsServicesLtd'
  19. stickered on it
  20. PC-Desktop case, with:
  21.   On the back there are 16 ports marked 0-15, these are 25-way female
  22.   Ports 7 & 15 are blocked off with some sort of terminator.
  23.   There are 16 LEDs, one for each port.
  24.   Also 2 other ports, also 25-way female, one is 'Local Shutdown' one is 'Run'.
  25.   5.25" floppy
  26.   1/2 height hard disk, Fujitsu (the M2227D2 I just mentioned)
  27.   Huge & loud fan, with a 2.5 amp fuse next to it.
  28.   On the front, 2 buttons : Run/Halt, and Boot
  29. Inside it's also quite odd -
  30.   3 boards behind the ports, 'General Robotics Corp 1987'
  31.   A stack-type case (25cmx30cm), with 4 slots, which have:
  32.     floppy card,
  33.     hard disk card,
  34.     2mb out of 4mb (I think),
  35.     other odd cards

  37. I have a VT220 terminal with it, which has 2 ports:
  38.  MAIN -> server
  39.  AUX -> serial
  40.    I've managed to connect a modem to this one, and call up the BBS,
  41.    so that works !
  42.  
  43. Any ideas on how to connect the 2 things together, what comms protocols etc
  44. greatly appreciated... or source for a manual ?
