  24. I have had heaps of experience with Compaqs.  These are the most
  25. reliable computers I have used.  (NB - I havn't used either a Dell or
  26. a Gateway).

  28. With their recent price drop, this makes them more attractive then
  29. others.

  31. These computers come with their own strain of Dos called Compaq Dos.
  32. Microsoft writes it but Compaq include their own device drivers for
  33. memory management etc.

  35. I have heard that the Compaq support staff is almost non-existant,
  36. however, having never had the need to call them, I cant comment.

  38. I have had Compaqs running continuously with out it crashing (except
  39. for my programming errors) for months on end.
