  19. OK, how's this... in preparation for this year's Winter COMDEX in Las Vegas,
  20. L______ came up with the brilliant idea of having the developers (who always
  21. help man and populate the Atari COMDEX booth) *pay* for the privilege of
  22. helping Atari sell their computers!  This would be over and above the expense
  23. of transportation to and from Vegas, meals and lodging, the very costly
  24. glossy brochures required of each dev in the booth, etc, etc.

  26. Fortunately, someone in Atari convinced him that this probably wasn't too
  27. good of an idea and might further "alienate" the few remaining Atari devs. :)
  28. Even so, dev support at this year's COMDEX was *very* spartan as compared to
  29. previous years.  Gee... I wonder why?  ;-)
