  11. Hi everyone.  I've been an ATARI supporter for a while now, since the 8-bit
  12. series.  I have been reading the messages here for a while now, and have gotten
  13. alot of information from everyone.  I think its great that this many ATARI
  14. users can get together and discuss these things.

  16. Well I just wanted to say that instead of writing all these messages that seem
  17. to say "ATARI SUCKS", or anything close, we should be talking about the
  18. positive things that we have as ATARI users.  I own an ATARI 1040 STE, and am
  19. pretty happy with it.  Unfortuantely I haven't been able to upgrade it to the
  20. point I want, but I'm still quite happy with it.  I plan to buy a Falcon 030
  21. because of the new technology and possiblities it creates.  I also plan to
  22. become an Atari developer.  What I am trying to say is, that instead of bashing
  23. ATARI Corp for their mistakes( and I won't say they haven't made any ), we
  24. should support them as best we can.  Those of us who have stuck with ATARI have
  25. done so for a very simple reason.  We like ATARI computers better than any
  26. others, and they do what WE want them to do.  Of course, technology changes
  27. every day and we all must move on, so its up to us to support our computer
  28. company and make sure they move along as well.  I think the Falcon 030 will be
  29. a good computer, and I think we should support ATARI by buying their computers
  30. when they come out, and even trying to communicate to them what we would want
  31. from them.  I think communication is the best way to save ourselves.  And for
  32. those of you who have become frustrated with ATARI, and have moved on to other
  33. platforms should just stop posting in this group and post in the group of your
  34. own computer.  I think we need to get rid of all of this negativity towards our
  35. computers and our computer company.  I read a message by someone who said that
  36. ATARI Corp has an advantage over the other platforms, which is its users
  37. loyalty.  I think we need to keep this loyalty intact, and even increase it if
  38. we are to have what we want.  Of course we all want something more from our
  39. computers, and I'm sure that this newsgroup will help you to find whatever you
  40. need in terms of information about what you can do to improve your system.  So
  41. the bottom line is:  GO ATARI!
