- The SCSI ID number is usually set by manually moving a jumper on the
- hard drive's controller board. If the drive is an embedded-controller type,
- then you probably can't change the LUN at all, it's hardwired as zero. You
- need to open up the case, see what kind of physical drive is present, and
- then find the manufacturer's data sheet for that drive to get the required
- configuration info. (Just saying "Supra" doesn't tell anything; Supra and ICD
- and all the other companies that sell pre-packaged hard drives just buy bare
- drives from any number of sources, tack on their host adapter, and then mount
- it inside a case. Your "Supra 20 MB" drive could be a Seagate, Miniscribe,
- Micropolis, or one of a few dozen other mechs. If it's not an embedded
- controller type, then it probably has an Adaptec SCSI controller, but that
- could be for MFM or RLL drives, etc. etc....)
