- Well, I have finally taken the plunge and upgraded my A500 from AmigaDOS
- 1.3 to 2.1. Since then, I've found a number of problems in my normal
- working environment (is there a FAQ addressing these somewhere?), some
- of which I'll go ahead and ask here.
-
- cpr crashes the machine when setting a breakpoint or exiting. I seem
- to have a vague (and possibly mistaken) memory of this being a known
- problem with cpr from SAS 5.10 with >= 2.0, maybe having something to
- do with fonts? Does this ring any bells with anyone? If not, I'll
- get more details later (sorry, can't crash the machine just now ;-))
- and go through channels.
-
- A particular code fragment runs incorrectly when compiled with the
- optimizer, where it ran correctly when compiled under 1.3 with the
- optimizer. This code has nothing to do with any system calls, is
- there any reason why there should be any difference based on OS?
- (Yeah, I know, you want more details. If I don't get any hints here
- I'll have to grit my teeth and dig into it.)
-
- I have non-SAS questions too, for anyone who derives pleasure from
- helping others :-)
-
- How to toggle individual icons off during an extended selection?
-
- How to get the screen wide enough for 80 chars without getting
- the right border of the shell window clipped? After a certain
- point, using Prefs to make the screen wider doesn't seem to
- have any effect.
-
- SAY, SPEAK:, and translator.library are all gone, and I don't
- see anything on the disks or in the documentation to have
- replaced them?
-
- Some games have 8000 000B or 8000 0003 errors while exiting.
-
- Thanks for any help.
