- SSI isn't fully dropping Amiga support, but may stop actively porting all
- products according to some people here on the nets. SSI has been strangely
- silent on the matter it seems.
-
- Electronic Arts is definitely not leaving anytime soon, sort of. It seems
- they're not actively marketing Amiga product in North America anymore
- though some sources suggest that some things in best-selling categories
- will still reach our shores (RPGs mostly, probably) but they're still
- making games and distributing them in Europe, as the recent releases of
- Road Rash and Desert Strike prove. If they port NHL-PA then you KNOW it
- will be marketed in Canada at least, where this is DEFINITELY the hottest
- cart on ALL consoles its available on (we're Hockey mad here, you know! :).
- But Electronic Arts U.K. will still be making product and most people I
- think have available a route of ordering wares out of Europe (many dealers
- can do it, and there's always British mail-order) so there really shouldn't
- be much trouble in getting them for most people. And as I said, it seems
- they'll still be marketing at least some of their product here. About the
- only product that EA will specifically mention regarding continued
- distribution/marketing/support in N.A. is Deluxe Paint.
