- Without trying to start the bi-monthly my-term-program-is-better-than-your-term-
- program war, I'll put my pitch in for VLT. Available from the Fish library, it
- offers full VT100 emulation except for double-wide/double-height characters.
- There is absolutely no charge to use this program and a printed manual is
- available absolutely free of charge from SLAC (when you get your VLT
- distribution, there is even a pull-down entry on how to get your VLT manual).
-
- VLT includes ARexx support and support for external protocol libraries (xpr).
- XPR libraries are available for kermit, zmodem, xmodem, and others.
-
- I use VLT almost daily to communicate with a VAX/VMS cluster and have been
- satisfied with it for several years. I've used others - HandShake, TERM,
- VT100, and JRcomm - and always come back to VLT.
-
- VLT is also available via ftp on the author's site, ftp.slac.stanford.edu in
- the directory pub/amiga/VLT5.576
