- It's not that difficult to persuade printer.device to use the other
- port so that ParNet or a sampler can use the bidirectional built-in
- port. Under versions older than 2.1 just NewZap the
- devs:printer.device file to change the "parallel.device" string.
- Under 2.1 you can fake up a phony preferences file ... unfortunately the
- preferences editor only lets you change the unit number, but the printer driver
- itself can be told somehow to use a different unit ... I don't have the 2.1 /
- 3.0 preferences.h file so I'm not sure how
