  26. A cron is needed here, yes, but is not the focus of the question.  It would
  27. appear that what the original poster wants is a way to have arexx send
  28. certain commands to the requireed machine.  A cron could certainly start
  29. rlogin, but it can't make it type in the needed commands.

  31. Unfortunately, the AS225 package does not have ARexx support in it, so this
  32. can not be done using rlogin.  One possible solution would be to give the
  33. fellow's amiga rsh priviliages on the required machine so that a cron could
  34. run the needed commands via rsh.  This, unfortuately, doesn't work well when
  35. one needs to run something with interactive queries (i.e., "are you sure
  36. (y/n)?" questions could not be done, although I suppose using a "yes" handler
  37. might make this possible).

  39. If you're patient, you'll be able to do this much more easily under the newer
  40. AS225 stuff which is in beta.  (Note that this statement relies on something
  41. other than rlogin and is not an implication of ARexx support that may or may
  42. not be present in the newer version.)
