  24. No they don't force them to sell DOS with their machines, but they do
  25. require an all-or-nothing alternative. Either you include MS-DOS with
  26. every machine you sell or you don't include it with any machines.
  27. The only way to get MS-DOS on a per-copy basis is to pay full retail
  28. price. The volume discount requiures that you pay a royality for *every*
  29. machine you ship.

  31. Since a manufacturer who didn't offer MS-DOS with their machines
  32. would lose lots of sales almost all of the agree with Microsoft's terms.
