Well, nobody claimed that Microsoft invented mice or spreadsheets - but they "developed" and marketed very successful versions of both. The original poster
was claiming that Microsoft essentially did nothing, yet became successful.

If by this you mean, for example, that they didn't invent spreadsheets,
you are right. But they did write Excel, and I think they deserve lots of
credit for that.

Someone who thinks Windows is a copy of X is in no position to criticize
others for not doing research before they speak...
