- By selling software, DOS and Windows, to manufacturers at giveaway prices,
- they use the power of money to force their product on the industry. They
- use the statistics generated by shipping their product with every machine
- to convince the media that they control the market. In truth, no one knows
- how many people actually use Windows 3.x. Microsoft already had their
- contracts in place with vendors long before DR DOS and OS/2 came along.
