- The problem with swapfiles is that the bigger you make it, the more Windows
- will write to disk. The smaller your swapfile, the more Windows will rely on
- physical RAM. This is why your hard disk is spinning so much. The best thing to
- do is to try to limit the swapfile to a more conservative size, such as equal
- to your RAM or half of your RAM (4MB or 2MB). The best thing for Windows,
- though, is for you to put in another 4MB of RAM. The more physical memory you
- have, the better Windows runs.
